Construction Superintendent Position (03/03/2022)

Seeking a highly experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent who has the knowledge, skills and experience required to manage the day-to-day field operations of construction projects. The candidate will be accountable for producing quality work that is consistent with the standards set forth in the project documents, performing the work in a timely and cost-effective manner and for maintaining a work environment that is safe and continuously kept clean and orderly. The candidate should possess managerial and leadership skills necessary to complete both large and small construction projects.  Candidate must have completed at least four (4) school projects at a supervisory position.


Managing the day-to-day field activities to ensure that the project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met.


Creating short-interval look-ahead project schedules to make sure that upcoming project tasks are communicated, tracked and executed.


Creating and maintaining a culture that values safety and cleanliness on the job site.


Managing and coordinating the work to ensure that it is constructed in a professional manner that is compliant with project specifications.


Manage and forecast issues and facilitate solutions.


Coordinating all inspections and ensuring that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented.


Ensuring all aspects of the project are compliant with all company standards and legal requirements that govern the project.


Conducting progress and subcontractor meetings on site.


Reviewing subcontractor agreements to ensure that the scope is being performed in accordance with contract documents.


Manage the punch list to assure timely completion.


Maintaining field paperwork such as daily reports, schedule updates and daily progress photos.


Minimum 10 years of progressive responsibility supervising commercial construction projects in a fast-paced environment.


An understanding of construction means and methods associated with commercial projects including military, educational and State & Local government.


Proficiency with spreadsheets, Outlook and other software used in the construction industry.


Current safety credentials to include OSHA certification, etc.


Must be able to pass School District background check requirements (Jessica Lunsford).
